This video is a small note on spring in Wales and the new artwork that grows out of that season. After the muted colours of winter, the landscape begins to open again: softer light, clearer greens, brighter water, and a feeling of movement returning to everything.
Spring is not always dramatic here. Often it arrives in small changes: a cooler blue in the sky, a warmer edge on the fields, a different rhythm in the trees and coastal paths. Those details are the kind of things I bring back into the studio.
The new artwork in this video comes from that kind of looking. It is about gathering colour from walks, sketches, and everyday Welsh landscape moments, then letting those impressions become a painting or drawing over time.
For anyone interested in Welsh landscape art, spring colour, artist inspiration, and new original artwork from Wales, this video shows a little of the atmosphere behind the finished work.
